Fundraiser events for schools, churches and non profits!
If you are currently looking for some great tips for fundraiser events, check out the content of this brief article.
What type of group will be running the fundraiser? Since 1993 we have been providing successful fundraiser events for churches, high schools, middle schools, youth sports teams, PTOs, little leagues, after school clubs, non profit organizations and more.
Fundraisers that work well in one area may not be so great in another. Formal dinner events might work in one city but the same event would not raise much money somewhere else.
Some cities can do well with cookie dough fundraiser events, while other cities do better with a scratch card fundraiser event mainly due to the lower price point for each donor. You will need to consider what your supporters enjoy and how much money they can afford when thinking about your fundraiser event.
Timeline is an important factor when considering a fundraiser event. If you need to start your fundraiser soon and raise funds quickly, some fundraising events may not work well for your group. Make sure you factor in weekends, holidays as well as any upcoming commitments your members and supporters may have when choosing your fundraiser timeline.
How much money do you need to raise? $1000, $2000, $5000 or more? When you figure this out you can work backwards with your fundraising event.

When narrowing down your ideas you need to factor in how many members you will have participating in your fundraiser event. If you are doing an event fundraiser you should try to see how much time each one of your members are able to dedicate. If you are opting for a fundraiser with products like a discount card fundraiser or Auntie Anne’s pretzel fundraiser, know how many people you will have on your sales force. Try to get commitments from your members and keep them accountable. For instance, each member should commit to selling 10 items each. This way you can have a realistic fundraising goal.
One of the most important factors to your fundraiser event besides picking the right fundraising idea is getting full participation! If your group is on board with your fundraiser event and is motivated to raise a lot of money, your fundraiser should be successful. In order to get full participation, it’s best to involve your organization in the very early planning of your fundraiser.
Invite your group to be part of the brainstorming process so that they feel invested in the fundraiser that you eventually decide on. You should encourage your group members during the fundraising campaign and follow up with them often. Reward the members who sell the most with creative prizes and incentives.
One of the easiest ideas to reward members is to have a Pizza Party for the top 5 or 10 sellers. This is a very cost effective way to motivate your group and in our expert opinion usually works the best.
